OUR STORY

We started our initiative called the "Breakfast Brigade" at the age of 12 years old. At the time, we were just learning about how food insecurity impacts people across the country in different ways.  But what struck us most was how food insecurity impacted people in our own community.  We felt the urge to help in some way and thus, The Breakfast Brigade was born.
 
Just over five short years later, the Breakfast Brigade is doing the work we hoped to accomplish.  So far, with the help of friends, family and members of our community, we have collected nearly 70,000 servings of breakfast food items including boxes of cereal, shelf stable milk, oatmeal and breakfast bars.
